2011 Together We Can - Celebrate Recovery Wednesday, October 12, Noon Asbury United Methodist Church 1533 Springhouse RD, Allentown
The programs of the Lehigh County Conference of Churches that are directly health-related are: DAYBREAK: A drop-in center primarily for people in treatment for mental illness with 300 members who receive educational, recreational, self-empowerment, pre-vocational, job training, and nutritional supports and services.
PHARMACEUTICAL ASSISTANCE: Providing one-time assistance to 400 people annually who have applied for but not yet received Medicare/Medicaid or who are in low-paying jobs without health insurance.
LINKAGE & HOMELESS SUPPORTIVE SERVICES: Reaching out to 250 street homeless and offering intensive case management to 35 men and women annually who are disabled and chronically homeless
CLEARINGHOUSE: Providing housing case management, rental assistance, and other services and supports to men and women with serious and persistent mental illness.

Now in its tenth year our annual fall fundraiser, Together We Can 2011 returns to the theme of health. The social service programs of the Lehigh County Conference of Churches focus on food, housing, health, and youth succeeding in school.
